Food quality is really going downhill. I have been going here for over 30 years and this is the worst of the worst. The service was ok, but I don't go during busy times. They used to have a very good fried chicken sandwich. But now they have changed it to a crappy old chicken patty that is fried. But I told myself to stop being so picky and try again. This leads me to my last time eating there. I have always loved their pulled pork sandwich. So this is what I ordered since I can no longer stomach what they have done to the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich came out and you could tell that they just put a little bit of sauce on top and stuck a bun on it. The pork was tough and fatty and my teeth kind of bounced off the meat when I tried to chew. They still have some of the best french fries in Winchester and bar none. The best root beer. But the prices they charge should come with quality food and quality is where they are now failing miserably. I have tried to email management about this at other times. But they just ignore their customers. Until these owners sell, this once proud eatery is going to continue to supply subpar food that tastes like no one cares.

Service is AWFUL. We called to order ahead and were told they "don't do that." So, we went anyway and waited a solid hour after ordering - still no food. We had to get it to go. Will never attempt to go here for lunch again EVER.
What on earth has happened to Cork Street Tavern? I used to really enjoy the atmosphere, service, food, etc. -- but NO MORE! Their menu has been completely overhauled with many of their signature foods removed. The prices have skyrocketed. The service is absolutely terrible! And the food preparation? I don't know who is doing their cooking, but I received what was supposed to be a fajita on a sub roll! And WHO ON EARTH has ever heard of a hamburger steak being BREADED????!!!!
Guess who will NOT be going back to Cork Street!!
