You will not find a chain bbq joint any better than this place. The pork and brisket are smoked over night in the onsite smoker. They are dry rubbed before smoking. The ribs also get a dry rub before smoking. The gentleman that sliced my brisket was full of knowledge and told me of the history of Dickeys, the style of bbq (Texas), and even how long the meat is smoked. The sauces have a nice taste, and you can put as much on as you want. They have free ice cream for dessert also. There is no comparison to a fast food restaurant. — Anonymous Reviewer

Thir barbecue pork and beef are mediocre. Their turkey is pretty good. Sides are bland. — Anonymous Reviewer

I like Dickey's BBQ. LOVE the Spicy BBQ sauce, Beef Brisket is really good. Wish they offered hushpuppies or cornbread. Nice having the free ice cream at the end of a spicy meal!! — Anonymous Reviewer

My wife and I eat here for lunch . We had free sandwich coupons and we were glad for that because it is way to expensive for amateur bbq. And the service was way too slow . Not sure if Winchester will ever have a REAL bbq joint. — Anonymous Reviewer

Good solid BBQ - just not great. I'm a BBQ snob so for customers not familiar with authentic BBQ cooked slow and low in a wood or charcoal smoker, you may rate Dickey's a lot higher. The Ribs and Brisket that I tried were good for in-house oven BBQ but really doesn't measure up to my standards. If you like BBQ and don't care how it's cooked (or smoked), Dickey's will be just fine. I did enjoy their sides and thought the jalapeno baked beans and biscuits were great. BBQ is generally a little more pricey but you'll get way better food here than any fast food joint in town. I'd be interested to hear from anyone that has tried their catering service. — Anonymous Reviewer

Well......Its a barbecue restaurant, thats about all I can say. It is ok, if you are looking to get your barbecue fix, but I have been at much better barbecue establishments. Its a shame that Winchester does not have barbecue establishments around. Food was ok, Pulled Pork sandwich had to be my favorite of all they had to offer, but even the pulled pork sandwich was not anything great. Hope they stay around just to say we have a barbecue restaurant in the city limits. — Anonymous Reviewer
