I have been here several times, but not within the year. They have lost something. Six of us dined on a Thursday; no soup de jour, no prime rib (though advertised on their online menu), no apple pie, though the waitress mentioned it with the other desserts. Rockfish was overdone and dry, oysters were large and cooked well, but had no flavor. the upper level was too warm; the women said so, and I was sweating. Positives: salads were god, excellent bread. Not sure when I'll return.
I have visited this restaurant over the past year several times and have always had wonderful service and delicious food. I particularly enjoyed the Shrimp/Sausage Grits. Highly recommend this dining experience Peggy Walk
I can not say enough good things about this place, me and my family have been there several times now and nothing has been wrong. The ribeye was served perfect as well as my wife's crab cakes. They give so much food, you will have leftovers. We settled for dessert and the creme brule is outstanding, especially the chocolate. Our server was great, positive attitude, talked to us and knew what he was doing. He did not over do it with the service it was perfect. The rest of the staff is awesome. The two owners are great and they care about their business. The younger girl is part owner we had the pleasure of speaking with her our last time there and she showed she cared about our experience at her restaurant. We enjoy when they come to check and ask us how were are and every-time we dine with them they are usually there. The owner is always talking to his customers as well and that's what the people want. The rest of the servers are very attentive and care about the customers. We had the chef come out and he knows what he is doing. Overall a fabulous experience and we will always return to get the best steak and seafood in Winchester. If you want fine dining this is it and its worth it! Keep up the good work!!
