Ate there this week. You have the fake cooking show...that does nothing for me. Then bland, oversalted meats cooked too much to blah.
Nothing to return there for.

I was with a group of eight at Ichiban recently. After dinner, as we were finishing our drinks, the manager asked us to leave. Other parties were waiting for our table. We were not sitting there more than 5 - 10 minutes.
I always thought that Ichiban was too rushed, but this was icing on the cake. But apparently this is what Ichiban is all about.
Anyway, you obviously can decide for yourself about Ichiban but i wont go back.

I'm more of a sushi nut for this place. The chirashi is superb, filling, and lovely. The salmon is mouthwatering. Sunomono is wonderful! Love the sweet tartness. Since the old sushi chef left, i have not order the beef tataki. The sauce the new guy uses is not nearly as satifying. I could drink the old sauce. Thats the only complaint i have with them!

This place is absolutely amazing. My girlfriend and I go there for all of our special occasions. We get the Filet and Lobster and you can't get this quality anywhere for under $30 a plate. The staff and management are friendly and we can't wait to go back !!! Would suggest to everyone even if you don't prefer japanese food. We're in love !!

Don't let one or two bad reviews discourage you...they just don't know what great food is. Our office eats there regularly and they are consistant. The food is out of this world especially their fried rice. We all eat there for the wonderful food but adding talented chefs to the mix...well that's just a plus! This is one of the best places to eat in Winchester and I stand behind them and their food 110%...you will NOT be disappointed!

I love this place, when it's good. It's never been bad, but they aren't consistant. Sometimes you can tell the chef just wants to get through the meal and move on to the next table. When it's good, it's AWESOME, when its not, it's not.

Ichiban means "number one" in Japanese. The number one is how I rated this out of five. This is anything but authentic. The food is always mediocre at best the sushi is extremely warm, the sake is always overheated. This is absolutely the worst Japanese steak house that I've ever been to. Save your money, waste some gas and travel towards DC to find a decent Japanese steakhouse.

I think this is a fun resturant and the food is wonderful. If you leave hugry then it is your own fault. There is a little something for everyone on the menu.
