We moved to Winchester almost 11 years ago and were without a full working kitchen for the 1st few YEARS! Papermill Place was our kitchen and we love it. Still go there regularly - especially for breakfast! Love the new menu options, too!

There is no longer a grease smell in your clothing when you leave Papermill Place! The owner added equipment for better ventilation and now you can enjoy the excellent home-cooked type of food for a very reasonable price and when you leave, your office-mates won't be able to tell where you went for lunch!

Typical diner food -- a bit greasy -- but flavorful and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is decorated with Virginia memorabilia, including Patsy Cline stuff, so this is a good place for a tourist to visit. An extensive menu with tons of daily specials. Depending on the day, you may find your clothes have a grease smell after eating there.

I don't know how anyone can call the food pricey here. It's the cheapest sit down in Winchester next to Waffle house and the food is ten times better. The service is friendly, the food is well cooked. Word of advice, if you don't want greasy, don't order greasy food! Their Turkey platter was fantastic, and their breakfast stuff is wonderful....

Food is very good, but it's getting way to pricey. But after reading the comments about smelling like grease, yes my co-workers can also tell me when I have been to PaperMill.

I have no idea why anyone would even TRY and give them a bad review here! Food has always been good. Sure the prices did go up a little, but where have they not? Still one of the better values in town.

One of the best diners I've been to ever. Breakfast items and their Vegetable soup my favorites. Outstanding homestyle food. A little better than Cracker Barrel, and cheaper too. I'd make the trip from Martinsburg just to eat there; that's how good it is.

Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. You can go here and get a good meal for a somewhat fair price. One of Winchester's finer diners. Everyone has been here and there is a good reason for that and the cooks out front are really good.

Papermill place is a wonderful place to eat. Good simple food and great prices, very fun atmosphere, fast service. I haven't noticed a greasy odor in there but it is a diner so that would be normal. very nice place, lucky to have it.

The smell of grease is terrible and anyone can tell you that you have been at PaperMill but food is good but is getting real pricey. I like the Amherst Diner as well and is much cheaper.

Now that the Papermill Road construction is FINALLY finished, I've started going to Papermill Place again. The food is great; the prices are OK; the service is always good; and the servers are friendly. My only complaint is the SMELL of grease from the grill. It stays with you for the remainder of the day.

Food is great, prices continue to rise and IF you can stand of smell like this place for the remainder of the day, then this a place for you.
