Angeethi Review - March 26, 2011

Angeethi - Vote 4 - Went for dinner last night for the first time. Food was great! The owners were really nice and helped out quite a bit in selecting the right dish. And the prices were really reasonable! For the dinner for 2 we enjoyed we would have paid $40 MORE at Sona's and it just wouldn't have been as good. Can't see a reason to get Indian food anywhere else in town.

Angeethi - Vote 4 - We had dinner there recently and the food was pretty good, although quite pricey. The Korma dishes are prepared just right and the Naan was pretty good. It is not as good as Sona however.

Angeethi - Vote 2 - Tried the buffet for lunch and was not impressed. The buffet is very pricey, service was poor, and the food was BLAND. Never before have I experienced bland Indian cuisine. A lot of the buffet selections were not warm either.

Angeethi Review - June 30, 2010

Angeethi - Vote 1 - Yesterday I was dying for a good vindaloo. Sona Restaurant was closed so I thought Id try Angeethi. I wish Id read JayMs review first. I ordered Garlic Naan and Chicken Vindaloo; and I specified the vindaloo should be very, very spicy. The first problem was waiting 30 minutes for them to bring the naan which was plain, not garlic. While waiting another 15 minutes for to replace it, they brought the vindaloo which was absolutely tasteless and bland. Vindaloo is suppose to be fiery and flavorful. They took it back and added a little spice but nothing like Im used to at any other Indian restaurant. Next time I want Indian food its Sona or nothing.

Angeethi Review - March 29, 2010

Angeethi - Vote 5 - My husband and I ate the lunch buffet on March 24, 2010 and it was terrific! They had twice as many selections as Passage to India had on their buffet and they were all delicious. I had dined at Passage to India four times over the last year and became more and more disappointed with their buffet. Therefore, I was thrilled to see new managment. I also felt the restaurant was much cleaner and brighter and the wait staff much more pleasant. I have already recommended it to my friends.

Angeethi Review - March 12, 2010

Angeethi - Vote 3 - Well, wish I could say it was great, but it wan't. I had the lamb vindaloo which should have been nice and spicy... it had a lite flavor which is lot more than I can say for the eggplant dish we had. The carrot halwa was more like grated carrots soaked in ghee... yes, I know that is exactly what it is... but I have never had that dish taste like that before.

Oh well, we REALLY need to get back down to Sona, the great Indian place on town!

Angeethi Review - February 27, 2010

Angeethi - Vote 4 - I recently ate the lunch buffet here for the first time after the restaurant's new owner changed the name. The selection of dishes in the lunch buffet hasn't changed much, and since it's buffet food, it tastes good but not outstanding. I was surprised by the bill - the price has gone up to $12.95. I love Indian food but don't eat enough to justify the price. I'd continue to patronize the lunch buffet if they'd do take-out by the pound like several local Chinese restaurants.

Angeethi Review - September 16, 2009

Angeethi - Vote 1 - I have eaten here 4 times, because I love Indian food. Not to be insulting, but their red sauce tastes like it just stepped out of a Chef Boyardee can. I keep coming there and hoping for something good, and never get it. Theres a reason why the restaurant is big for the local indian places and no one's ever there....
