Kabob House Review - January 18, 2012

Kabob House - Vote 5 - I always eat here when I'm at the mall (and sometimes make a special trip). It's not Indian food, it's Afghan. They also serve gyros and some other things, but I can't comment on those, because I always have one of the Afghan kabob plates, usually chicken, served with basmati rice, salad with yogurt dressing and chickpeas. It's best when the owner (who is from Afghanistan, though he speaks perfect English) cooks. The food is not spicy-hot (not like Thai food, for example); it's very flavorful, the meat tender.

Kabob House - Vote 5 - I went to kabob house and I love the food..it's amazing..they got the kabob platters, gyros, falafels and all the good food..they got the smoothies and ice creams as well. It's reasonably priced and I enjoy eating there everytime I go there which is quite often. The meat is fresh and very well prepared and the rice, chickpeas and mixed veggies are very authentic..this place is a must.

Kabob House Review -

Kabob House - Vote 1 - Whoever rates this place good is a shill. This place is a total ripoff. I spent 12 bucks for 5 tiny pieces of chewy lamb, a few pieces of lettuce and a small bed of rice. You'd think they would at least try to load you up on the rice. Not here friends! The manager/ owner asked me how my meal was. I told him "a whole lot of money for a little bit of lousy food. He laughed and walked away. Please don't believe that crap that others have written about it being more than McDonalds because it's better. I eat in excellent gourmet restaurants several times a year. This place is a big ripoff and total crap in Winchester, VA and anywhere else.

Kabob House Review - June 21, 2009

Kabob House - Vote 4 - I've been to Kabob House 3 times in the past 7 months and have always had excellent food for the price. I don't know how the last reviewer could say it is over priced unless he is comparing it to McD's. Wonderful chicken kabob is what my son and I always get along with fresh salad with a yogurt dressing plus deliscious chickpeas in a GREAT sauce. I would have given 5 stars if they served freshly baked afghan bread. I recommend you try this place.

Kabob House Review - June 20, 2009

Kabob House - Vote 1 - Don't waste your time or money going to this place!! That is all you'll be doing when you go here, Me and my girlfriend went for lunch on Saturday it was $30 for the two of us and I got a chicken kabob and a pathetic looking salad, she got an even sadder looking Greek salad which they put ranch dressing on and two small drinks and that was $30! It took 20 minutes for the food and when it finally got to the table half of it was wrong, there was one guy that didn't have any clue what was going on running the register, cooking, serving and cleaning up after people. We watched 4 people turn around and leave that were waiting to order as he was in the back trying to cook and 3 other couples that turned around and left after they seen the prices. Which is what we should of done also! the food was mediocre at best and nothing to write home to mom about. This place was a BIG waste of time and money.

Kabob House Review - February 21, 2009

Kabob House - Vote 5 - The Kabob House has amazing food! The chicken is always moist, the Basmati rice is unlike anything I have ever tasted before, and the people are very friendly. This should be a stand alone not in the middle of a mall food court!

Kabob House - Vote 4 - The service was slow but the food was perfectly prepared. My chicken was moist and tasted amazing. I did not expect to find such a gem in the Mall.

Kabob House Review - February 10, 2008

Kabob House - This food was pretty good, especially for being in a mall. The chicken is moist and flavorful. I want to go back and try more dishes. It is served with plastic forks and you order at the front, so it isnt anything fancy...but it is very food for what it is, and there is nothing else like it in winchester
