El Comal - Vote 5 - If you like Chipotle, try El Comal. More authentic, better taste and local. Very tasty, highly recommended.

El Comal - Vote 3 - Quite a jewel! Try to go at a busier time. We went at an off hour, and some of the meat was a bit dried out. But otherwise quite pleasant and authentic. The tacos are made with the thinner corn tortillas you'd find in Mexico. Marinated meats with onion, cilantro, hot chiles and lime juice. I thought I was back in Guadalahara.

A huge sandwich called a torta has marinated meats, with refried beans, L and T, onion, avocado, cheese and, strangely, too much mayo! Leave off the mayo and this sandwich can satisfy two for a meal.

Prices aren't a bargain, but not outrageous either.

El Comal - Best and most authentic Mexican in town. Giant burritos like those popular now but lots better. On weekends they have more to choose from, including lamb and pork a few different ways.
